Emotional memory

Do you remember the last time you hit the mark with a gift?

That sparkle in the eyes. The tight hug. The "how did you know?" full of emotion.

Real stories

Christmas

The Silva family gathers every Christmas. 18 people, three generations. Grandma Carmem, the four children with their spouses, and grandchildren who are no longer kids.

Every year it was the same: Aunt Marcia would cut papers, write names by hand, fold each one. Someone always drew their own spouse. "Draw again!" Uncle Roberto would lose the paper. Cousin Julia would forget who she drew.

That December, Lucas created the group in the app. In five minutes, everyone was in. The draw respected couples automatically. Each one created their wishlist. Grandma Carmem asked for help, but managed — and loved sending anonymous messages to her grandson.

Before the exchange, the family answered the Group Quiz — fun questions like "who has fallen asleep on the couch during Christmas dinner?". Uncle Roberto led the ranking. On the Photo Wall, each one posted their favorite memory of the year. Cousin Julia cried seeing the gender reveal photo that grandma kept.

On exchange night, something different happened. The gifts made sense. Roberto got that book he mentioned once. Julia received exactly the bag she wanted. Grandma Carmem cried opening a box with digitized old photos — a perfect gift from her granddaughter who read her wishlist.

At the end, everyone voted in the Gift Ranking. Lucas won "Most Creative" and Grandma Carmem got "Hit the Mark".

It wasn't just a Secret Santa. It was the Silva family's best Christmas.

Easter

Bia's crew has known each other since high school. 12 friends spread across 4 cities, and Easter became an excuse to reunite. Each year, a different house. Each year, a different mess.

The Chocolate Friend exchange seemed simple — just swap a box of bonbons. But someone always bought the wrong flavor. "You don't remember I hate white chocolate?" Marina would bring a generic supermarket box. Diego would "forget" to buy.

This year, Bia opened the app and changed everything. She created the group with Democratic Draw turned on — whoever drew someone with restrictions (lactose intolerance, vegan) could request a redraw. In three rounds, it was perfect.

Before the meetup, each one suggested a song or movie that matched their match — a collective playlist for the weekend. Diego used integrated Product Search and found an artisanal box from Gramado within the R$80 budget.

On Sunday, no one opened a generic chocolate box. Marina got a pistachio truffle egg (she'd discovered she loved it through Bia's movie suggestion: Ratatouille). Pedro received a box of only 70% dark chocolates — his preference logged in the wishlist.

After lunch, the group answered the Group Quiz: "who ate chocolate before lunch?". Five confessed.

It wasn't just a chocolate exchange. It was the Easter the crew decided to repeat every year.

June Festival

The Jardim Esperança neighborhood has organized a June Festival for 15 years. Quadrilha dance, bonfire, traditional food. In 2025, Dona Cida proposed something new: a Caipira Friend exchange among the 24 organizers.

The first meeting was a disaster. Who would draw? How to agree on a budget? Someone suggested papers in a straw hat. "It's gonna go wrong like last year!" Seu Antônio, 72, didn't want to mess with phones.

Dona Cida's grandson installed the app for her and created the group. In fifteen minutes, all 24 entered through the invite code. The draw ran. Each one created a wishlist with typical items: artisanal peanut candy, printed bandana, new hat.

The novelty was the Musical Theme — each participant suggested a country song for their match (Luiz Gonzaga was the runaway leader). On the Photo Wall, everyone posted old June Festival photos — some from 1980, in black and white.

On the night of the festival, nobody bought the wrong gift. Seu Antônio got a silk bandana that matched the checkered shirt he's worn for 20 years. Dona Cida received a hammock from Ceará — she'd mentioned in her wishlist she dreamed of one.

After the dance, everyone voted in the Gift Ranking. "Most Unexpected" winner: a toy accordion that Seu Antônio had wanted since he was 10.

It wasn't just a neighborhood festival. It was the first June Festival no one forgot.

Children's Day

Class 4B has 28 students and an exhausted teacher. In October, Dona Letícia proposed a Children's Friend — each kid would bring a gift up to R$30 for a randomly drawn classmate. The idea was to teach generosity.

Parents panicked on the WhatsApp group. "Who's Sofia? There are 3 Sofias in class." "My kid can't read yet, how will he write a list?" "It's going to be chaos." One mom suggested cancelling.

Dona Letícia opened the app on the classroom projector. Each kid picked an avatar and typed their name with help. The draw ran on the spot — total silence, then shouts of "it's a secret, don't tell!". Parents joined in parallel to help build the wishlists.

The little ones explored Movie Themes — suggesting their match's favorite film ("Toy Story 4", "Inside Out"). The wishlist had direct product links via Product Search, so parents could buy exact without guessing.

On exchange day, it was magic. Sofia 1 (not 2 or 3) got the Frozen lego she asked for. Pedro received a Diary of a Wimpy Kid book — exactly the volume missing from his collection.

After the party, the class voted in the Gift Ranking. "Hit the Mark" went to Maria Clara, who gave her match a box of handmade slime. "I read his wishlist three times", she explained.

It wasn't just Children's Day. It was the day 28 kids learned what it means to listen.

Company

The startup has 47 people, 5 squads, 3 remote offices. In December, Marcela from HR had to organize the Secret Santa. History: two years in a row with more complaints than joy.

Who works with whom? How to draw without favoring cliques? A budget that doesn't embarrass anyone? "I don't know anything about my match, we've never talked." In 2024, three people asked to swap.

This year, Marcela created the group in the app and turned everything on. Democratic Draw enabled — if more than 50% voted to redraw, it ran again (anti-clique rule). Budget locked at R$50–80. The system ensured no one drew someone from their own squad.

The Anonymous Chat became the highlight. Engineers discovered they shared hobbies with marketing folks. The Product Search integrated with 5 marketplaces avoided the "where do I buy this?" stress.

At the company party, no one asked to swap. Felipe from backend got a screenplay book — someone noticed, via anonymous chat, that he was a cinephile. Camila from design received an artisanal ceramic mug from Minas (R$65, within budget).

The next week, the Gift Ranking blew up on Slack. "Most Creative" was a barista course — delivered with a V60 filter and specialty coffee. The winner cried.

It wasn't just a corporate Secret Santa. It was the first time the whole team laughed together at year's end.
